been a long time and I'm sure you are all well. I still haven't flown my Christen Eagle...
New job for the last 8 months and have been very tied up in heli's. Heli's are awesome, but planks are the answer!
About a year ago I started to draw up plans to scratch build an F3A. I did the plans but I already have 3 ( yikes) F3A planes, one pic is attached of my Krill Spark. Spark? It's all electric. I know many of you fly Krill models and they are excellent.
I dare not think how long these plans took me to draw but they are accurate to the mm!
I'm going to build a smaller electric version for practice, but it won't be small, running a 12s 10,000mah lipo. All the detail in lights , the undercarraige system will be off to get Cnc'd!
Then, I will either draw an F-14 or the new Super Hornet & build it big with twin turbines. The kits for jets are sooo expensive. The jetcat tubines are 3 - 4k each!! So I can't get around that but the rest I can make. This is going to have every bit of detailfrom a million pics. Also, some of you may know David Law who came 7th at the scratch worlds a few years back. He will be my mentor!
Here are the plans, I hope you like them,
all the best
James
Actually, posted lots of pics! There's me, my gut & Jason Schulman. He is awesome!! And I got a few coaching flights from him - F3A - but Chris B still beat Jim! That kid is off the show...
There's me and my 90 Heli & one of my beloved Rave 450 (actually, it's no. 3 but trying not to count). The young me at 8 was at Sale. That's where I was born and stay in touch with Bob Bennets, who I'm sure you see each year and perhaps his son Steve? Pretty nice field. That plane had an OS 10 fsr, 20% castor oil, 80 methonal !!
Then there are the plans if the F-16. If you look closely you can see lights, actuators for the landing gear doors and shockers. Even a joystick in the cock pit!
Cheers
James
